Frequently Asked Questions

We ask that you arrive five minutes early to complete some paperwork. Your initial consultation will last up to 40 minutes, allowing Fiona time to take a thorough history and perform a physical examination. This includes a postural assessment and orthopaedic and neurological testing.

Fiona will then share her findings and provide a diagnosis. If appropriate, you may receive your first gentle session at this time, along with ergonomic or home-care advice.

The number of sessions depends on your specific condition, history, and goals. Following your consultation, we will propose a structured care plan during your second appointment. This plan outlines our recommendations for the initial phase of care and how we will measure your progress. You are encouraged to take your time to review this plan at home before deciding how you would like to proceed.

Your second appointment lasts up to 20 minutes. Following that, regular sessions usually take between 10 and 20 minutes. We schedule review appointments at Fiona’s discretion to monitor your progress; these typically last 20 minutes.

We focus on the mechanical causes of aches and pains – such as neck pain, sciatica, and headaches. Using techniques like Advanced Biostructural Correction™, Diversified, Activator and soft tissue therapy, we work to restore your body’s mobility and postural alignment.

In most cases, we use manual techniques to adjust the joints, though we also offer very gentle instrument-based techniques and mobilisations for those who prefer or require them. This is often paired with soft tissue release to help tight muscles relax.

Absolutely. We love supporting women through their pregnancy journey, from pre-conception right through to birth. Fiona has completed postgraduate training in prenatal and paediatric care. She uses pregnancy-specific, modified techniques to support your body as your centre of gravity shifts.

Chiropractic can be a gentle and effective way to manage the lower back strain and neck tension that often occur as your body changes to accommodate your growing baby.

Yes, chiropractic care is suitable for all age groups. Fiona uses very gentle stretching and light pressure for infants – it looks entirely different from the techniques used for adults. After a thorough history and exam, Fiona will discuss any recommendations with the parent or guardian.

Yes. We want you to feel empowered in your recovery. We provide advice on ergonomics – like the best way to sit at your desk or in the car – as well as stretches and exercises to help you maintain your progress at home.

All Chiropractors in the UK must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). We complete a minimum of a 4 year University degree to Masters level and undergo continuous professional development every year to ensure you are in safe, knowledgeable hands.
